Toronto claims for their freedom Five heroes imprisoned during ten years stop this torture Toronto Forum Cuba
Except from a letter from Antonio Guerrero to Sabrina Johnson, dated June 16th, 2008
"Here we are still under "lockdown", but you must never worry, I'm fine. The Five, we are already "experts" in "surviving" and in making useful time of this isolation. As we know, today's world is manipulated by the lies of those in power, but there is a balance, because those who love truth, tired of being lied to, don't just take it crossing their arms.
...I send a greeting to all the friends in Toronto...."

On July 26th, 1953 the Cuban people attacked the Moncada Barracks, a symbol of tyranny and occupation of Cuba under the U.S. puppet regime of Batista. Although the attack was defeated, it raised the banner of struggle, which led to the victory of the Cuban Revolution.
Due to the U.S. empire’s inability to accept this result, the Cuban people have confronted the economic, commercial and financial blockade by the government of the United States for more than 40 years. This is one of the most cruel, inhuman and prolonged policies of hostility endured by any people in the history of human civilization. Throughout these last 46 years, the complex system of laws and measures that make up the blockade against the people of Cuba, has been reinforced and expanded by the various U.S. administrations. This policy has inflicted and continues to inflict serious damages on the Cuban people’s material, psychological and spiritual welfare, while seriously hindering its economic, cultural and social development.
In addition to the blockade, the U.S. government has also continuously resorted to terrorism in order to try and derail the Cuban revolution. In fact, even while it claims to be engaged in a “war on terror”, five Cuban anti-terrorist heroes are unjustly serving their 10th year of imprisonment in U.S. jails for exposing the U.S. government-sponsored ultra-right groups in South Florida, which to this day have caused the death of 3478 innocent people. This includes the murder of all 73 people aboard a civilian airliner that was blown up in midair in 1976, which was masterminded by Posada Carriles and Orlando Bosch who, by contrast, are both walking free on U.S. soil.
That is why we invite you to participate and celebrate the achievements of the Cuban Revolution by denouncing the criminal blockade and by demanding freedom for the Cuban Five.
