Exigimos el fin de la masacre contra el pueblo palestino
Mientras la ocupación israelí retoma sus bombardeos diarios y sus brutales prácticas contra los civiles palestinos, el mundo se moviliza en contra del dolor y el desproporcionado y repudiable desastre que provoca el gobierno sionista en Gaza.
“Hoy los ciudadanos del mundo expresan sincera solidaridad y respaldo permanente al pueblo palestino, que más que nunca padece los crímenes del gobierno de Tel Aviv, y estamos muy agradecidos por esa reacción masiva de apoyo a nuestro pueblo”, afirmó Akram Samhan, Embajador del Estado de Palestina en La Habana.
En Cuba, en territorio libre, no ocupado de Palestina --su embajada-- se reunieron organizaciones y movimientos sociales y de solidaridad, partidos políticos, académicos y amantes de la paz, en un encuentro de máxima expresión de apoyo y rechazo a la cobarde masacre del Estado fascista de Israel.
Militantes de Puerto Rico, Chile, Colombia, Argentina, Cuba, Guatemala, El Salvador, Brasil, Nicaragua, Venezuela, Bolivia, Perú, Yemen, Líbano, Siria, Grecia, Palestina, Francia, el Comité Internacional por la libertad de Los Cinco y Resumen Latinoamericano se adhirieron a una declaración en la que condenan la muerte, destrucción y violación de los derechos humanos y del Derecho Internacional Humanitario que actualmente sufre esa población en medio de un cruel bombardeo.
En total coincidencia se manifestaron la Asociación Cubana de las Naciones Unidas, la Unión Árabe de Cuba, el Instituto Cubano de Amistad con los Pueblos, el Centro Martin Luther King, la Organización de Solidaridad de los Pueblos de África, Asia y América Latina (OSPAAAL), así como representantes diplomáticos acreditados.
En demostración de hermandad, el Encargado de Negocios de la Embajada de la República Bolivariana de Venezuela en Cuba, Edgar González, entregó su bandera a la sede diplomática palestina, como símbolo de unidad y resistencia.
Además del reclamo, se hizo un llamado a todos los pueblos del mundo, a organizaciones y personalidades de la sociedad civil internacional, a condenar la presente agresión contra Gaza y la permanente política genocida de Israel, que pretende consumar su ilegal ocupación a base de la sangre de los palestinos.
Surgieron iniciativas como la celebración de actividades de solidaridad, la distribución de mensajes concretos y quedó plasmado el compromiso de cada persona allí presente de aportar un granito de arena a esta justa causa.
Se exigió, además, al Consejo de Seguridad de las Naciones Unidas que en correcto uso de sus facultades tome las medidas que correspondan para detener el dolor y el desastre que están causando los últimos enfrentamientos, que son una nueva expresión de la larga lista de crímenes encaminados a privar a Palestina de sus derechos inalienables.
Hoy, los ciudadanos libres del planeta enfrentan una prueba de conciencia ante el sufrimiento de los detenidos palestinos en las prisiones israelíes, los arrestos de prisioneros anteriormente liberados, miembros del parlamento y civiles.
La forma brutal en la que el joven Muhammad Abu Khdeir fue torturado y quemado hasta la muerte ha traído a la memoria las escenas atroces de tortura que tuvieron lugar durante la primera Intifada Palestina. Este crimen ha logrado colocar la brújula en la dirección correcta y alertar sobre la realidad de la ocupación israelí después de sus muchos esfuerzos por ocultar sus crímenes y presentarse como un ente civilizado en una región bañada en sangre.
La represalia de derechistas israelíes contra Muhammad Abu Khdeir por un acontecimiento en el que no hay indicios de participación de palestinos, y el bombardeo mortífero a Gaza, repiten una agresión sostenida durante decenios que convoca a la movilización y debe detenerse ya.

MANIFIESTO AL PUEBLO DE PALESTINA
Las organizaciones, movimientos y partidos políticos, sus militantes y residentes en Cuba, junto al Secretariado Ejecutivo de la Organización de Solidaridad de los Pueblos de Africa, Asia y América Latina (OSPAAAL), condenamos enérgicamente la cobarde agresión militar del Estado fascista sionista de Israel a Palestina y en específico a la población de la Franja de Gaza.
Una canallada más de Israel, que se funda en la fuerza y en su poderío militar, contra un pueblo prácticamente indefenso. La superioridad militar y las acciones realizadas son una ofensa al Derecho Internacional Humanitario ya que la gran mayoría, más del 80% de las víctimas, muertos y heridos, son civiles, incluidos niños, y los daños a viviendas e instituciones civiles son considerables en una población de un millón 800 mil habitantes, aglomerada en 360 kilómetros cuadrados, con sus derechos más elementales restringidos.
Hasta el día de ayer, la aviación militar israelí había llevado a cabo más de 2150 incursiones, lanzando más de 1500 toneladas de mortíferos explosivos. La cifra de muertos palestinos se eleva a más 170 personas, a los hospitales ingresaron más de 1500 heridos, muchos en estado crítico, y los daños a casas, hospitales, centros de rehabilitación de enfermos, escuelas, al Registro Civil de Gaza, edificios de ministerios y servicios públicos, etc., asciende a más de 2400 edificaciones, de los cuales 374 inmuebles han sido totalmente destruidos.

No hay justificación ni pretexto valederos para tales crímenes de lesa humanidad, de exterminio del pueblo palestino, pero sabemos bien que al sionismo no le conviene para nada el proceso unitario que se ha venido desarrollando en estos últimos meses y entonces tenemos claro que uno de los objetivos políticos de la agresión es el de impedir la reconciliación palestina. Esta ofensiva guerrerista no es solo contra una parte de Palestina, contra el movimiento Hamas, sino contra todo el pueblo palestino.
Constatamos también que el pueblo palestino no se rinde fácilmente y por ello nuestro apoyo total a la resistencia palestina en la Franja de Gaza y Cisjordania, ya que es una legítima resistencia y autodefensa frente a la guerra de agresión genocida sionista. Por supuesto que todo esto ocurre en medio de un silencio cómplice de los Estados Unidos, principal aliado y sostén de Israel.
En nuestros países se han realizado y seguirán promoviéndose manifestaciones de condena a tales agresiones. El mundo progresista está con la causa palestina y sus derechos, con su legítima aspiración de ser un Estado libre y soberano con Jerusalén Oriental como su capital.
Hacemos un llamado a todos los pueblos a continuar y reforzar las condenas, a exigir el fin de tan viles acciones para que cese la violencia y lograr la paz. A fortalecer iniciativas como las de incrementar el boicot, la desinversión y las sanciones a Israel, a las cuales también se unen el boicot cultural, académico y científico, al que ya se han sumado sectores representativos de la sociedad civil de muchos países e importantes figuras intelectuales. Que sean acciones similares a las que se sometió en su momento al fascista régimen del Apartheid sudafricano.
Ejemplo de esta solidaridad fue la multitudinaria manifestación en contra del genocidio sionista, que se llevó a cabo este sábado en el paseo Ahumada, en pleno centro de Santiago de Chile. Los asistentes ocuparon prácticamente toda la extensión de esta importante arteria santiaguina, contó con la asistencia de representantes de distintas organizaciones, de la comunidad palestina en Chile, y de fuerzas políticas, sociales, instituciones culturales y artísticas chilenas. Los manifestantes coincidieron en la necesidad de pedir al Gobierno de Chile retirar inmediatamente al embajador chileno en Tel Aviv y expulsar al embajador israelí de Chile, en protesta concreta y categórica por el bombardeo criminal en contra de los habitantes de Gaza. A su vez, instaron al gobierno de Chile a suspender toda relación y acuerdos comerciales con Israel, ya que no son suficientes las condenas y es necesario llevar a cabo acciones concretas para detener las masacres y obligar a Israel a respetar la legalidad y los derechos humanos.
Igualmente es importante resaltar las manifestaciones de apoyo de gobernantes latinoamericanos como los de Cuba, Venezuela, Nicaragua, Bolivia, El Salvador, Ecuador y otros. Toda América Latina y el Caribe condena y repudia las acciones genocidas de Israel.

We demand the end of the massacre against the Palestinian people
While the Israeli occupation retakes its daily bombings and brutal practices against the Palestinian civilians, the world mobilizes against the grief and the disproportionate and despicable disaster caused by the Zionist government n Gaza.
“Today the citizens of the world express sincere solidarity and permanent support to the Palestinian people, that more than ever suffers the crimes of the Tel Aviv government, and we are very grateful for that mass reaction in support of our people”, said Akram Samhan, ambassador of the State of Palestine in Havana.
In Cuba, in a free, non-occupied territory of Palestine – its embassy – social and solidarity organizations and movements, political parties, intellectuals and peace lovers, came together in a meeting that was a top expression of support and rejection to the coward massacre of the fascist State of Israel.
Militants from Puerto Rico, Chile, Colombia, Argentina, Cuba, Guatemala, El Salvador, Brazil, Nicaragua, Venezuela, Bolivia, Peru, Yemen, Lebanon, Syria, Greece, Palestine, France, the International Committee for the Freedom of the Five and Resumen Latinoamericano adhered to a declaration in which they condemn the death, destruction and violation of human rights and of the International Humanitarian Law presently being endured by that population in the midst of a cruel bombing.
Total coincidence was expressed by the Cuban Association of the United Nations, the Arab Union of Cuba, the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples, the Martin Luther King Memorial Center, the Organization of Solidarity of the Peoples of Africa, Asia and Latin America (OSPAAAL), as well as accredited diplomatic representatives.
As a demonstration of brotherhood, the Chargé d’Affairs of the Embassy of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela in Cuba, Edgar González, handed his flag to the Palestinian diplomatic venue, as symbol of unity and resistance.
In addition to the demand, a call was made to all peoples of the world, to organizations and personalities of the international civil society, to condemn the present aggression against Gaza, and Israel’s permanent genocidal policy, that aims at completing its illegal occupation based on the blood of the Palestinians.
Initiatives emerged, among them the celebration of actions in solidarity, the distribution of concrete messages, and the commitment of each one of the attendants to contribute a small part to this just cause.
It was also demanded from the Security Council of the United Nations that, in proper use of its faculties, take the corresponding measures to stop the pain and disaster being caused by the latest confrontations, which are a new expression of the long list of crimes aimed at depriving Palestine of its inalienable rights.
Today, the free citizens of the planet face a test of conscience in view of the sufferings of the Palestinians who are in Israeli prisons, the arrests of prisoners who had been formerly liberated, members of parliament and civilians.
The brutal form in which young Muhammad Abu Khdeir was tortured and burnt to death has brought to memory the atrocious scenes of torture that took place during the first Palestinian Intifada. This crime has succeeded in placing the compass in the correct direction and in alerting on the reality of the Israeli occupation after its many efforts to hide its crimes and appear as a civilized being in a region covered with blood.
The reprisal of Israeli rightists against Muhammad Abu Khdeir for an event in which there is no evidence of Palestinian participation, and the deadly bombing of Gaza repeat an aggression maintained for decades that convokes to the mobilization and should stop now.

MANIFEST TO THE PEOPLE OF PALESTINE
The organizations, movements and political parties, their militants and residents in Cuba, together with the Executive Secretariat of the Organization of Solidarity of the Peoples of Africa, Asia and Latin America (OSPAAAL), strongly condemn the coward military aggression to Palestine by the fascist-Zionist State of Israel, and specifically to the population of the Gaza Strip.
Another vile action of Israel’s based on force and on its military power against a people that is practically defenseless. The military superiority and the actions they have carried out are an offense to the International Humanitarian Right, since the large majority – over 80 percent of the victims, dead and wounded – are civilians, including children, and the damage to dwellings and civil institutions are considerable in a population of one million 800 thousand inhabitants, crowded in 360 square kilometers, with their most elementary rights restricted.
Until yesterday, the Israeli military aviation had carried out more than 2,150 raids, having thrown more than 1,500 tons of deadly explosives. The figure of dead Palestinians exceeds 170 persons; more than 1,500 wounded entered hospitals, many of them in critical condition, and the damage to houses, hospitals, rehabilitation centers for the sick, schools, to the Gaza Civil Registry, buildings of ministries and public services, etc., rises to more than 2,400 buildings, of which 374 have been totally destroyed.
There are no valid justification or pretext for such crimes of lesser humanity, of extermination of the Palestinian people, but we know well that the unitarian process that has been developing in recent months is not in the least convenient for Zionism, and then we must clearly understand that one of the political objectives of the aggression is to prevent the Palestinian reconciliation. This warlike offensive is not only against a part of Palestine, against the Hamas movement, but against the entire Palestinian people.
We also see that the Palestinian people does not easily surrender, and for that reason our full support goes to the Palestinian resistance in the Gaza strip and the West Bank, since it is a legitimate resistance and self-defense against the genocide Zionist war of aggression. Of course, all this occurs in the midst of an accomplice silence of the United States, Israel’s main ally and support.
Meetings to condemn such aggressions have been carried out in our countries and will continue to be promoted. The progressive world stands by the Palestinian cause and its rights, by its legitimate aspiration to be a free and sovereign State with East Jerusalem as its capital.
We call on all the peoples to continue and reinforce the condemnations, to demand the end of such vile actions so that violence may cease and peace may be achieved. To strengthen initiatives such as increasing the boycott, the de-investment and sanctions to Israel, together with the cultural, academic and scientific boycott, to which representative sectors of the civil society of many countries and important intellectual figures have already joined. Let them be similar actions to the ones carried out against the fascist Apartheid regime in South Africa.
An example of this solidarity was the mass meeting against the Zionist genocide celebrated last Saturday in Ahumada Avenue, in the very center of Santiago de Chile. The participants practically occupied the full extension of this important artery of Santiago. It was attended by representatives of different organizations, of the Palestinian community in Chile and by Chilean political, cultural, artistic and social forces. They agreed in the need to demand from the Chilean Government the immediate retreat of the Chilean ambassador to Tel Aviv, and to expel the Israeli ambassador from Chile, in concrete and categorical answer to the criminal bombing against the inhabitants of Gaza. In turn, they urged the Chilean government to suspend all relations and commercial agreements with Israel, since it is not enough to condemn them, being necessary to carry out concrete actions to stop the massacres and compel Israel to respect the legal order and human rights.
It is likewise important to highlight the expressions of support made by Latin American governments, like those of Cuba, Venezuela, Nicaragua, Bolivia, El Salvador, Ecuador and others. All Latin America and the Caribbean condemn and repudiate Israel’s genocidal actions.
